Interact with Program Alumni

Be mentored by and learn from members of our Alumni Program who will assist you in solution building, as well as discuss how they applied their entrepreneurial skills in the real-world in our speaker series, “Life Beyond the Program.”

Showcase Your Startup

Network with all of our exclusive, invited guests in a professional conference setting highlighting the power of networking and relationship building as you work to improve and gather feedback on your very own Value Propositions.

An Experience

This one-of-a-kind, powerful event built exclusively for The Startup Studio’s community of students, mentors, and school leaders is an immersive experience where education and entrepreneurship intersect.

Unlike anything offered in the market today, students will work directly with world-class mentors building solutions to real-world problems in a powerful, competitive, professional conference uniquely for students of The Startup Studio’s Entrepreneurial Studies program.

Stay On-Site

For the best experience, you’ll want to stay on-site at the luxurious Rosen Plaza. Located in the heart of I-Drive, the Rosen Plaza offers boutique-inspired guest rooms featuring two double beds and amenities that include complimentary Wi-Fi, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, lighted make-up mirrors, laptop size safe, and hairdryer.

* Hotel bookings will be open shortly to allow WPS students to lock in their room for the event.

CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

  • 3pm: Drop Off and Registration
  • 5pm: Conference Opens
  • Opening Ceremony & Dinner: Introduction of our Global Ambassadors, School Leaders, and Alumni Ambassadors. Introduction of our “Entrepreneur of the Year Award”.
  • Cocktail Hour: Exclusively for our School Leaders, Global Ambassadors and Alumni Ambassadors, this gathering provides an intimate opportunity to discuss innovation in education.
  • Networking Event: Our students display their startup concepts to all invited guests, including parents.

MORNING AGENDA:

  • Breakfast: Welcome to “A Day of Problem Solving”
  • Keynote Speaker: “The Power of Story” (Speaker TBA)
  • Problem Presentation: Members of a local organization present a major community problem or initiative currently in need in of a solution supported by a distribution of data to all student teams.

LUNCH & AFTERNOON AGENDA:

  • Breakout Workshops: Teams build solutions to the presented problem. Note: Our Global Ambassadors remain for the two days to mentor students as they build their solutions.
  • Discussion: “The difference between Business and Entrepreneurship in Higher Ed”: UCF students and teachers join the discussion

DINNER & EVENING AGENDA:

  • Alumni Speaker Series: “Life beyond The Startup Studio Program” presented by The Startup Studio alumni

MORNING AGENDA

  • Breakfast
  • Top Teams Chosen
  • Pitches to our local organization’s representatives

LUNCH & AFTERNOON AGENDA:

  • Closing Ceremonies: Winners announced

HOUSING & DINING

All of our participating schools from outside of the local Orlando area will be staying at the Rosen Plaza for the duration (2 nights) of the Summit. WPS students have the option to stay on property for the two nights or can be dropped off daily by their parents. We highly recommend that all students stay on property so as to have an immersive conference experience. *
